Types of Giving
The Dominican Hospital Foundation invites gifts, bequests and endowments from individuals and organizations. In times of joy, giving provides a way to share good times; in times of sorrow, giving makes a positive statement of hope. Gift support provides a lasting and useful testament of admiration, friendship and love.
Gifts
Donations of cash, securities, personal property or real estate are welcomed at any time. All gifts are receipted at the time of the gift and entitle the donor to a charitable deduction in accordance with current IRS rules.
Leave a Legacy
An invitation to join the Heritage Club is extended to all who would like to make a provision for Dominican Hospital through wills, estate plans, or life income agreements such as charitable remainder trusts or life insurance policies. Some planned gifts provide the donor with significant tax benefits including capital gain avoidance and charitable deductions.
In addition, Dominican Hospital Foundation is licensed by the State of California to offer charitable gift annuities to donors. Under this arrangement, the donor receives a lifetime income at a fixed guaranteed rate. Annuities may be funded by cash, securities or real estate, and income can continue for the lifetime of one or two donors.
Memorial Notices
Many friends of Dominican request memorial donations rather than flowers. May we suggest: "In lieu of flowers, memorial donation to Dominican Hospital Foundation, 1555 Soquel Drive, Santa Cruz, CA 95065, are preferred by the family." Please call the Foundation to designate a family member we can notify when donations are received.
