With a generous match from Jim Thompson, Foundation board member, and Plantronics, Inc., over 40 physicians pledged $5,000 in support of the new surgery waiting area. The glass etched panels were designed and created by Heather Glass.

The new Terrace is named in honor of Isabel Wallace Bartfield by her husband, Lou. Isabel worked as a nurse and the terrace provides the hospital’s only public outdoor space on the second floor.

The Surgery Lounge features spacious waiting area for families and visitors.

Poly, formerly Plantronics, Inc., helped by generously naming the pond with a soothing waterfall and live plants. The pond has beautiful koi fish and turtles.

Michael and Denine Butcher named the Consult Room in honor of parents, Poppi and Nonni. Mike and Denine felt the opportunity for physicians to meet privately with family and friends to review surgery outcomes was essential.

Over 630 community members, employees, physicians, businesses and foundations have donated to the Healing Courtyard Initiative providing soothing respite and therapeutic benefits.
